Villa Palma is a modern atrium house on one floor with Ross’s unique mix between classic and modern which has brought the studio a number of awards over the years.
The building is designed to be able to take up a certain level difference if needed.
Villa Palma’s building area is 160 m2 and its net area is 132 m2 around the atrium of 29 m2. Building height 4.2 m in sloping terrain, 3.8 m at flat plot. An ornamental tree, a Japanese cherry tree is suggested, contributes to the experience of calm and harmony.
This house is optimal for a family with outgoing children. There are double rooms, one of 11 m2 and one of 16 m2. The first room is designed as a library with room for a sofa bed for guests. The second room is the proposed studio or office furniture also here with a sofa bed for overnight friends, children or grandchildren.
The social area of the dwelling is gathered in 56 m2 living room with windows from floor to ceiling (2.8 m), dining room with direct access to the patio and kitchen with its kitchen island. In the file, through a sliding door is the library with its characteristic site-built bookshelves and desks.
The private master bedroom section offers a bedroom with a glazed double sliding door facing the atrium courtyard, a walk-in closet and beyond this a private bathroom with double sinks, double showers and of course wall-hung toilet with carbon filter filtration to avoid bad odors.
In connection with the entrance there is a hanging area for outerwear, a handicapped-adapted guest bathroom and a clothes care room. The heating technology is based on a geothermal heat pump in combination with solar panels integrated in the ceiling. Like our other projects, the lighting consists of warm white LED luminaires which together with the integrated solar cells on the roof ensure extremely low electricity consumption.
As a crown, there is a roof terrace of 58 m2 with room for lounge furniture, jacuzzi and dining area. The terrace can only be accessed from the atrium yard to secure its privacy. With a little skill in your selection, there is a beautiful view to enjoy!
This house, like any other Ross house, is cast and plastered in place. All floor layers are cast in place with cast-in floor heating for maximum comfort. The interior walls are masonry. The choice of materials is as usual made to ensure a high value and a minimum of maintenance. First-class windows and exterior doors are supplied by RM joinery and interior doors by Ekstrands.
The kitchen is equipped with Miele machines. The floors consist of oak parquet, slate and clinker. No particle boards, no laminate floors, no linoleum floors, no plastic floors, no plastic wallpaper.
